What's on at Marikina's independent cafes, a month at a time — open mics and acoustic nights, cuppings and brew workshops, guest-roaster pop-ups, weekend markets, and the city's own coffee festival when it comes round. Tap any day on the calendar to jump to the full details.
Every event here cites the post it came from and the date we last opened it. Nothing is listed on a rumour, and nothing is deleted after it happens — past events stay on the calendar marked Done, so you can see what the month actually looked like rather than a page that always claims to be full.

Calendar of coffee shop events in Marikina for October 2026

The 11pm close is from the shop's follow-up post of 29 September (instagram.com/p/Dd3hkWEiW5B/), which gives "2pm to 11pm" and names it yearner's night. No entrance fee was printed in either post, so none is claimed.
Crew Kaffee's open mic returns after its last session, with performers messaging the shop's page to get on the line-up. Its post for the previous session said the mic is open to acoustic artists, spoken-word poets and stand-up comedians, with the shop handling the setup.

From Instagram post (Crew Kaffee on Instagram) — see the original. Last checked .Published 28 September 2026: "Biyernes, October 2, 7PM onwards". The description of who can perform is from the shop's earlier open-mic post (instagram.com/p/DdF2ugQS8YE/), not this one. No fee or end time was printed.
A weekend pop-up at the Katipunan branch of Marikina Heights' Resonate Coffee, with six guest brands and makers setting up in the shop, among them a tattoo artist offering flash designs at a discount on the Saturday. Not in Marikina, but it is a Marikina shop's event and a short trip from the city.
Admission not announced — check with the shop before you go.

The discounted flash on 3 October is from the tattoo artist's own post (@norink__). This is the Quezon City branch, not the Marikina Heights shop the listing describes. No entrance fee was printed.

This post calls it the Marikina Weekend Bazaar; the organiser's other posts call it the Marikina Weekend Market, which is used here. An earlier save-the-date on the same account gave an 11:00 AM opening and the 2/F floor; every later post says 12:00 PM. The Retreat Coffee Lounge's own post confirms it is taking part and places La Arcada on Gil Fernando Avenue. Despensa is an event space, not a shop in the directory, so there is no shop link or barangay.

Looking for coffee near you right now?
An events calendar is only useful when something is on. If today is not one of those days, the more useful question is which shops are near you — so start from your barangay. Each of these pages lists every independent cafe we know of in that part of Marikina, ranked by what visitors said about them.
The arrows above step through every month either way, empty or not. These are the ones with something actually confirmed in them — a short list by design, and it grows as the calendar does.
Marikina's cafés run open mics, cuppings, latte art nights, brew workshops and weekend markets, and the city government has run a coffee festival at Freedom Park. What is confirmed for the current month is on the calendar above, with the date, the venue and a link to the announcement it came from. A month showing nothing means we have not been able to verify an event yet, not that the city is quiet — most café events are announced on Facebook and Instagram only days ahead.
How do I find out what a specific Marikina cafe has coming up?
Open the shop's page in this directory and follow its Facebook or Instagram link. Those accounts are where Marikina cafés post their events, and the posts are usually only a week or two ahead of the date. If you find one that is not on this calendar, send it to us and it gets added.
Are coffee shop events in Marikina free?
It varies, and this calendar only states admission when the announcement stated it. Open mics and community nights are usually free with a one-drink order; workshops and cuppings normally charge a fee because they use beans and a barista's afternoon. When an event's admission was never announced, the listing says so rather than guessing.
How do I get my cafe's event listed on this calendar?
Send us the event through the contact form on this site with a link to your own public post about it. Listing is free and there is no charge or partnership required. We ask for a link because every event on this calendar cites the source it came from, which is what makes the calendar worth reading.
How often is the Marikina coffee events calendar updated?
Whenever an event is confirmed or changes. Each listing shows the date its source was last checked, so you can see how fresh it is, and cancelled events stay on the calendar struck through rather than quietly disappearing. Cafés do reschedule, so confirm on the shop's own page on the day.
What was the Marikina Arts, Crafts and Coffee Festival?
A four-day festival the Marikina city government opened at Marikina Freedom Park on 19 February 2026 for National Arts Month, themed "Art in Every Pour". It put the city's craft businesses alongside its coffee houses, with drawing tutorials, spoken word, live music and coffee tastings. It has already happened; it is listed on this site's February 2026 calendar.
Running an event? Get it on the calendar
Listing is free and always will be — no partnership, no fee, no exchange. Send the date, the shop, what happens and a link to your own public post about it, and it goes up. Use the contact form. The link matters: every entry on this calendar points back at the announcement it came from, which is the only reason anyone should trust it over a guess.
Not listed in the directory at all yet? Add your shop first — events link back to a shop's own page, and that page is the thing that keeps working after the event is over.
Dates and times are as announced by the shops themselves and can change without notice. Confirm on the day before travelling. See our disclaimer for how this site compiles what it publishes.
