Marikina Local Coffee Shop Directory is a community-built project covering the city's small, locally-owned coffee scene. Everything on a shop page is compiled from public online sources — Google Maps listings, Facebook pages, published menus, food blogs, and write-ups about Marikina cafes. All business names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Partnerships & collaborations

We're open to working with coffee shops, local brands, and small businesses. If you want your shop featured, you'd like to collaborate on a guide, or you have another kind of partnership in mind, get in touchand tell us what you're after.

We don't publish rates on this page. Every collaboration is scoped individually depending on what's involved, so the honest answer is to reach out and ask, and we'll come back to you.

Being listed in the directory itself is not something anyone has paid for, and shops are added on merit through the process below. Where a piece of coverage does come out of a paid partnership, we label it on the page so you can tell the difference.

Affiliate links

There aren't any, anywhere on this site. Our coffee gear and cafe supplies page has no buy buttons and no affiliate links: it names each product, says what it is and who it suits, and gives you the phrase to search. Where you buy is up to you, and we earn nothing either way.

No manufacturer, seller, or marketplace has paid, asked, or sent us anything to be listed there, and nothing on that page has been tested by us, it's a written buying guide about what each product is and who it suits. We also don't publish equipment prices, for the same reason we leave shop prices blank unless someone has actually checked a menu: a stale price is worse than no price.

If that ever changes and we do add paid links, we'll label each one where it sits and say so here first. Until then, take this page at face value.

How shops get picked

We only list coffee shops that are genuinely independent and originally from Marikina, rather than a franchise or a corporate chain that just happens to have a branch here. That distinction matters a lot to us. A small local shop that does well and opens a second or third branch is still exactly the kind of place this directory exists for, so a branch count on its own is not what we screen on. Mainstream commercial chains are not included, no matter how many people ask.

Candidates come from two places: our own research (searching Google, Facebook, food blogs, and other write-ups about Marikina cafes) and shop submissions from owners and fans through our add your coffee shop page. Either way, every shop is checked by hand before it goes live, nothing gets published automatically.

If a cafe you know is not on the list yet, it is usually one of these reasons:

• We just have not come across it yet, our research is not exhaustive.
• It does not have enough of an online presence (no Facebook page, no Google listing, no write-ups) for us to confirm the address, that it is still open, or that it is genuinely local.
• It looks like a franchise, a corporate chain, or a brand that is not originally from Marikina, so it does not fit the local, independent rule this directory is built around.
• Someone submitted it, but it is still sitting in our review queue.
• Nobody has told us about it yet. If that is the case, please add it yourself.

User-submitted reviews

Reviews and ratings on this site come from site visitors. They're personal opinions and experiences, not the views of this directory. We check submissions for spam, abusive or violent language, and relevance before publishing, but we can't independently verify every claim made in a review.

Shop information

Details like founding year, best sellers, addresses, and coffee prices are gathered from what businesses and other people have published online. We check what we reasonably can by hand, but we haven't visited every shop, and cafes move, rebrand, change their menu, and close without updating their pages.

So treat everything here as a starting point rather than gospel, and confirm current hours, prices, and offerings with the business directly before heading out. If any detail about your shop is wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll correct it, no back and forth needed.

Photos

We link out to each shop's own Google Maps or Business listing to view photos instead of hosting copies of their images ourselves.

Google & Facebook ratings

Shop pages on this site don't show live Google or Facebook star ratings. Copying another platform's review scores automatically isn't something we can do reliably or within those platforms' terms of service, so instead we link straight to each shop's Google Maps listing and Facebook page (where we could find one) so you can see their real, current ratings and reviews firsthand. Where a shop page shows an italicized one-line summary, that's an editorial recap we wrote after reading public reviews and write-ups about that shop. It's not a live score, and it might not reflect the most recent reviews out there.

The one exception is our Top 10 Marikina Coffee Shops in 2026 listicle, where we manually looked up and cited each shop's published Google or Facebook rating to rank the list, since on-site reviews were still too new to rank it fairly on their own. Those numbers are a one-time researched snapshot too, not a live feed, and are dated on that page.

Corrections, removals, and getting in touch

One channel covers all of it. Whether you run a shop and want a detail fixed, the listing updated, or the entry taken down entirely, you've spotted a review that shouldn't be up, or you want to talk about a feature or partnership, send it through hereand say what it's about.

Removal requests from shop owners are honoured, we're not interested in listing a business that doesn't want to be listed.
